Southwest Region

Industrial Information

The Southwest Region is home to one of the country's most diverse combinations of industrial process plants. This region has a higher concentration of chemical, oil & gas production, and petroleum refining plants than any place in the country making up almost half of the total plant population in this region with approximately 1,890 plant sites. Other large industries in the region are Industrial Manufacturing with over 946 plants, Food & Beverage with over 786 plants and approximately 307 power generating plants. This region includes over 4,500 industrial plant locations with 2,606 plants in Texas, over 819 located in Louisiana, 525 in Arkansas and over 575 plants in Oklahoma.
