MT LNG Kryopak EXP Cycle
Beihai XinAo Gas Company Ltd., commissioned the design and build of a flare reclamation facility on a small isolated island named Weizhou located 30 Km off the coast of Beihai in the South China Sea. This facility utilizes the patented Kryopak EXP Cycle to liquefy 150,000 NM3 into 120 metric tons of final LNG product for consumption in mainland China.
This liquid product is ferried in tanker trucks to the Port of Beihai where it is vaporized and distributed to the downstream users.
Using Kryopak Liquefaction technology these customers were able to eliminate flaring of green house gasses while creating a highly profitable and saleable co-product.
Flare gas reclamation converts, once wasted, Natural Gas into a saleable co-product through liquefaction. The photos series below highlights a Salof/Kryopak LNG facility which converts refinery flare gas into an environmentally friendly, salable, energy product.
